The KARTON chair

This chair draws inspiration from the form and structure of a cardboard box. The design explores how objects can gain shape and stability from what fills them, translating this idea into furniture. By preserving the box’s distinctive geometry, it was reimagined as a chair that adds playfulness to sharp, geometric forms while remaining functional.

The visual qualities of cardboard are retained in a more durable material: thin steel sheets, similar in thickness to cardboard but strong enough to support weight. Through precise bending and spot welding, the necessary stability was achieved without additional components.
